One of the best things about participating in the CAPA Marquee Awards is the opportunity to participate in professional theatre education activities throughout the year!

Workshops and Classes

In addition to working with Broadway touring artist, we are also holding a series of workshops with professional, local artists throughout the year.

MUSICAL THEATRE CHOREOGRAPHY

Thursday, December 10, 2020  | 4-5:30 pm  |  Zoom

Are you ready to build your confidence and hone your dance skills?!  Then, join us for this Musical Theatre Choreography workshop to learn how to pick-up dancing as it is taught live and then “perform” it.

Preparation: We realize you will be learning at home, so set up in the biggest space possible.  Wood floors would be great to work on, but if that isn’t possible, carpet will be fine. Please wear comfortable clothing that you can move in easily. Dance shoes (jazz, character or ballet) are best for dancing, but if you don’t have them, please join us in your flat-soled shoes or athletic shoes.  If you are dancing on carpet, you may decide just socks will work best for you.  Since we will be moving, make sure you have water available.

To Sign Up: To receive the Zoom link and participate in the workshop, students must sign up for a slot using the button below, and submit the 20-21 CMA Media Release and Virtual Learning Agreement Form which must be signed by both the student and the student’s parent/guardian.

Deadline to sign up: Monday, December 7, 7 pm
