One of the best things about participating in the CAPA Marquee Awards is the opportunity to participate in professional theatre education activities throughout the year!

Workshops and Classes

In addition to working with Broadway touring artists, we are also holding a series of workshops with professional, local artists throughout the year.

AUDITIONING FOR COLLEGE PROGRAMS FOR MUSICAL THEATRE

In this workshop on auditioning for collegiate musical theatre programs, we will focus on how to choose which programs to audition for, how to select an audition package that best showcases you as a performer, and tips for performing your best audition. While all grade levels are welcome to attend, this workshop will be especially helpful for sophomores and juniors. Each registered student will be allowed to bring one parent/guardian.

DATE:

Saturday, October 9, 1-2:30 pm

LOCATION:

Ohio Theatre, Room 1
55 E. State St.
Columbus, OH 43215

REQUIREMENTS FOR PARTICIPATION

To participate in the workshop, students MUST submit the online 21-22 CMA Media Release Form and the 21-22 CMA Emergency Medical Form. Both forms must be signed by both the student and the student’s parent/guardian. Your registration will not be considered complete until you have signed up for a workshop slot and submitted these forms.

Note: If a parent/guardian accompanies you, they do not need to sign up for the workshop. Only students must sign up. However, only ONE parent/guardian per participant will be admitted into the workshop. No siblings may attend.

Broadway Events

We will be holding FREE events for several of the Broadway in Columbus productions this season. All participating CAPA Marquee Awards schools will have the opportunity to sign up students for available slots. All Broadway events are subject to the tour’s availability and therefore, are subject to change.

Please check back for upcoming opportunities.
