Workshops

In addition to working with Broadway touring artists, we are also holding a series of workshops with professional, local artists throughout the year.

Acting Workshop: Crafting a Character

WHAT:

Do you want to be seen as the true character on stage, whether the lead, side role or ensemble? Do you struggle with understanding your role inside and out when you are moving through the blocking?  This engaging and interactive workshop will guide you to create a 360 degree character for stage and screen that will draw eyes to your performance. Through scene critique, character analysis and even some improv, you will walk away knowing the methods to building the role through thoughts that lead to believable, actable moments. This workshop is great for all levels, and we will place some focus on what will help with college submissions and auditioning outside of school.

PREPARATION:

No prep needed! (However, IF you have a prepared monologue/song (With karaoke cut) you’d like to workshop, we will have some space to see a few of these. Please indicate on your form that you would like to workshop if there is time!)
